Milan‘s pulsating design hub, at Via Melchiorre Gioia 1, heralds the arrival of the inaugural deWol Industries / HUB STUDIO, crafted by the esteemed architectural firm Isacco Brioschi Architects. Nestled within the lower section of a complex crafted in the 1950s by architect Pietro Lingeri, this location serves as a vivid testament to modernism during a period of rebirth and renewal.
The deWol HUB/STUDIO serves as an exclusive meeting spot for professionals and customers of the deWol Industries Group. Its innovative interior design seamlessly blends with the Group’s esteemed collections of fixtures and accessories, offering a distinctive experience that leads visitors on an enchanting exploration of the essence and superior materials found in deWol Industries products.
The inaugural showroom, the Hub Studio, was conceptualized by Isacco Brioschi following an immersive exploration of Sciuker Frames HQ and manufacturing plant in Irpinia, Italy. The architectural structure, characterized by its two-tiered design, aims to encapsulate the essence of deWol Industries. It seamlessly merges the raw vitality of nature with the luminosity and hues of wooded landscapes, embodying deWol Industries holistic approach to designing, engineering, producing, and promoting eco-friendly windows and energy-efficient building enhancements.
On the ground level of the showroom, a harmonious blend of over 40 exquisite wood varieties and metals serves as the muse for Isacco Brioschi‘s creative vision. Striking display cases, towering monoliths suspended within natural stone, command attention with their graceful, illuminated forms, infusing the space with an aura of weightlessness even in dim lighting.
The entrance is distinguished by a ceiling installation crafted from approximately 300 slats of various wood types, weathering steel, and copper, reminiscent of the enchantment found within a forest, with its interplay of light and color. Isacco Brioschi ingeniously designed a captivating scenic effect by embedding the light source within the ceiling, mimicking the mesmerizing sight of sunlight filtering through the canopy of leaves.
The lower level, accessed via a striking black magnet iron staircase, transitions into a cozy space ideal for formal meetings. The paneling, alternating between wavy red velvet and dark-stained oak with brass inserts, establishes a refined atmosphere. Pedrali‘s “Elinor” meeting table and “Laja” armchairs, complemented by Flos “Almendra” hanging lamp, delineate an elegant yet functional area.
This architectural and interior design endeavor stands out for its alignment with the mission of deWol Industries, seeking to showcase the brand’s resilience and heritage while highlighting the contemporary and future challenges to the public.
